going bananas!
we spent most of today waiting for things to happen and thus not getting on with very much. There was washing dried on the line and some tidying of the living room though so not a total waste. First we were waiting for them to pick up my car to be looked at by the repair company. The man who came used to work at the company who sold me the car and remembers it as it was the first one of that model he had seen! Then I phoned the hire company and we waited another 3 hours for them to pick me up to collect my hire car. The person taht picked me up was rather bothered taht I had been allocated a Ka when the car I normally drive is much bigger so he phoned the insurance company and pointed out that the bump wasn’t my fault and it wasn’t fair that I should be in a small car when I need to cart stuff about for Rainbows so I ended up with a brand new 5 door Fiesta instead. Got home to a phonecall from the repairer saying it will be about 2 weeks as I need a new back door and bumpers and a bit of straightening out of the corner but taht’s fine, I can live with the Fiesta for a few weeks!
And that, really was the whole day!
