admitting defeat

despite treating the cat, using the VAx more than it’s ever been used in years (and emptying it straight away so nothing could escape again) and putting out candle traps pretty much every night, we are still being bitten although not nearly as often as we were.  I’ve just ordered "foggers" to fumigate the whole house…..

  1. They are a pain arent they!

We used to use front line, and tea tree oil, in a spray everywhere. two drops of oil to 1 pt of water, and spray it on EVERYTHING… yes even the cat! - our cat is still alive and she is now 10, and we have done this everytime fleas have entered our home. - normally on grannys dog! curtains, and liners, pillow cases, car seats, under the sofas, yes the underside of them… everything.. once a week for a month. I worked.

  2. yep, am using Frontline on moggy but sadly you aren’t allowed to put it on people so I don’t gt the satisfaction of knowing that for every bite there is a dead flea…. really do think they ought to do a Frontline Human spot on!!!!!

I’ve been spraying with tea tree, and have Vaxed the carpets a few times but there are a lot of places I just can’t get (big heavy bedstead taht I can’t get under properly to treat and lots of storage units with stumpy little legs taht you jsut can’t spray or vax under) and although we are only getting a few fleas in the traps adn only getting a couple of fresh bites a week, for every bite that means more eggs laid somewhere and more bites in another few weeks….. So chemical warfare it is (and we are going out for the day whilst they do their stuff!)
