T-Bird Anni Rides Again

Aprilia was all excited about the Brownie and Rainbow party this evening but came home starving!  Why?  Because most of the families think they are a cut above pizza fingers and crisps so sent Little Darling with spicy dips and doritos or other such (assuming they sent them with anything at all, aparently it was a thin spread) so she had to have a second attempt at tea when she got home.  She also managed to rip her frock but then as I’ve been telling her it doesn’t fit her for ages this may mean she will part company with it now!  (but I’m not holding my breath, are you?)  She did win musical statues though so all was not lost!

Duke took her to save me having to move further than necessary and declared it utterly terrorfying to see that many females in one room!  I wonder if this is his problem with home ed camps…… poor lad!

tomorrow we are supposed to be at a little local home ed club at someone’s house doing card making.  I may offer card making on my bed instead, much more peaceful, much more my style!

a while ago they re-wrote the first aid book again (they do it every 4 years or so) adn in the section about choking they added the instruction to ask the patient "are you choking?"  Now, us cynical types have howled laughing over this one, I mean, it is usually pretty obvious isn’t it?  But then last night, I was, and because Aprilia had heard the "joke" so many times, she knew that when I couldn’t answer her that I really needed help adn promptly beat me viciously on the back 5 times dislodging the goo I couldn’t cough away adn allowing me to breath again.  I don’t think she actually realises what a little hero she was last night, I didn’t realise how bad I was until I couldn’t get enough breath to answer her and Duke was out at Asda buying the wrong cough medicine (because when you have a chesty cough simple linctus really isn’t a lot of use other than to sooth your raw throat!) so it was all down to her.  Thank God for silly questions then.

I’m taking it easy today, I have a sore back now to add to my sore throat, head and chest but it sure beats the alternative!
