Still Alive! (which appears to be a title I’ve used before!)

Seem to be spending huge amounts of time at soft play places at the mo, less to distract me so more flipping through notes done although there needs to be a certain amount of PC time to put them into mind maps which seems to work best for me learning stuff.

it would be easier if the rain would stop of course, cos then I could sit out on a chair in the back garden and save the expense of driving over to the other side of town to provide entertainment for small child.  But then I would start weeding the garden or something equally more interesting than studying (hey, even watching paint dry has it’s attractions you know!) so all hail the £14 "season ticket" allowing unlimited play for 4 weeks!

Have also decided that once the exam is over that we need to sit down as a couple and work out the whole finances thing as currently things are not going in the right direction.  I could easily point a finger here as any trip to the supermarket for anything as simple as a pint of milk results in several carrier bags full of "bargains" and snacks.  but then it’s not that simple is it?  taking out his overspend would put us straight, but if I did a proper meal plan and shopped to the plan then we would eat much cheaper AND there wouldn’t be a need to send him for emergency supplies thus removing the temptations.  Or of course, I could find some sort of job that actually pays more than your average monkey would sniff at, we worked out that the Red Cross "pays us" under £2k a year in return for disrupting virtually every weekend (most of its unpaid, it’s the occaisional night work that brings in the pennies) plus at least 1 evening.  Of course, that may have something to do with the fact that I’m coming up to my 3 yearly requalification and the last one was hell (I think I blogged just how awful it was but that was on the blog that dissapeared so I shall spare you the link back) which sort of makes one re-evaluate exactly why one puts oneself through this when the returns are really pretty weak (and I know that’s not a reason to do something but really, to be treated like muck by the paid staff when it’s us volenteers who earn the money to pay their not unsubstantial wages is a bit hard to stomach sometimes)  But anyway, I’m tired anw waffly and the cat has just sat down in front of the monitor so I can’t see properly so I’m going to take the hint and give up
