Well, when you put it like that Mr Boss Man, I hereby withdraw my official notice……..
Duke’s boss made him an offer he really could not refuse, like £2k more than the job he was going to leave them for…… so, erm, he’s not got a new job after all, he’s staying put for more money and the promise of more varied work cos he’s the only person still left in the building with anything like a proper technical background. He resisted the urge to point out that if you pay peanuts you will almost certainly get monkeys!
Aprilia has decorated one side of a drawstring bag that she has sewn herself today, she needs to do the other side and then I’m letting her loose with the iron to fix the design. She’s also played on Learning Ladder quite extensively, think I need to get the next version before too long, and complained that she doesn’t have any handwriting practice sheets at the moment and how is she ever going to write nicely without practice sheets….. So that’s my job for tomorrow then, finding a nice handwriting font taht is free and works in Office 2007 (it’s going to be Jarman again really isn’t it, Please say I can get Jarman to work!)
I had a "lesson" in how to use the software I was provided with by the OU. Mostly he told me what I already know but he did tell me a few bits I’d not spotted before. He couldn’t tell me how to make my scanner work as a normal scanner though, which considering it’s the one recomended by his company, you would think he would know how it works really! I can use it as a text scanner through some other software but can’t get on with the software taht came with it.
So now I need to bite the bullet and get study skills tutor booked really don’t I!

Yeah to the pay rise! Hope the study skills tutor helps–I think you are great for persevering with your studies.
