Actually, our slugs don't much like sunflowers, it's the tender little carrot shoots they prefer... grazed off last year's entire crop before they had a chance, I'm temptd to buy huge bell cloches to protect them but it does seem a little excessive somehow! Am wanting a child who would like to stay home. I was talking to a friend whose kids go to school and she says her kids see their home as a haven from school/the world whereas Clo sees home as a base from which to go out and explore the world.
