utterly wore out!
Having spent several days stuck in the house waiting for a delivery that I *need* for tomorrow I gave up and took her to a play place before there was bloodshed. As it was jsut us two I agreed to try somewhere different so we ended up at the one and only othre place locally (Jesters) It was okay. Coffee was ****** awful but equipment good and provided me with an oportunity to tell her about stalagmites and stalagtites as they have a section of (soft!) ones there. As it was just us two it wasn’t as relaxing sa normal. I agreed taht I would play with her in the play frame as long as she would give me a rest every now and then and have her SL stories there. It worked remarkably well! She even did some puzzles. Also had lunch there which was pleasant and at £2 for a sandwich, formage frais, fruit and crisps, cheap too.
got home and decided to wrastle the fence pannel that had blown down last week out of the way of the recycling boxes so that I could shift all the empty cans, milk bottles and so on out of the kitchen. It was with mixed feelings that I found, exposed to the weather and in a large puddle, the parcel I’ve been waiting over a week for. Aparently hiding it under a broken fence panel (which granted did mean it was out of sight…..) is considered acceptable by ParcelFarce and no note is required to inform the inhabitants that that is what they have done. Thankfully everything inside was plastic wrapped so no harm done. Wonder if they got the cat to sign for it?
Then we had the REAL excitement…. a letter from Brown Owl! Not only did it confirm that Aprilia will go up to Brownies at half term but also invited us both to Brownie pack holiday starting the day Melrose ends! Gosh, but February is going to be way too exciting! A birthday, starting Brownies, going to Melrose AND spending the weekend with 16 giggling girls in a hut in the forest!

parcelfarce really are quite ludicrous in their behaviour, I do hope you’ve complained.

Is Aprilia excited too?
I dont often laugh out loud but the parcel story did make me snort. We’ve had similar things happen here.
