under the fence, catch the sheep….
After a hectic morning we spent the afternoon knitting together. Aprilia is now at the point where she’s reasonably reliable at the knit stitch, just as soon as she drops the habit of muttering the rhyme (by which piont I’m assuming it will be automatic) I’ll introduce the purl stitch, then thd fun really begins!
this morning was Jungle Jims where we had teh Winsford Home Educators’ Christmas lunch. Erm, that’s me, A and her daughter L (her son was poorly so couldn’t come) so an exclusive sort of home ed club then! I can honestly say that it was a mistake to have Christmas lunch there. No matter where we go to eat now will be a total let down! It’s possibly the best meal I’ve had in a loooong time!!!! I’m forever spoilt for dining out

I think you need to teach SB to knit at melrose. can you link me some good needles and wool types for her - an ebay purchase or something?? thanks

Helen, you just need 6mm needles, preferably short ones as they are easier but normal ones will do the trick and chunky yarn. Here’s the links I’d use, I get pretty much all my yarn and stuff from here
Needles (6mm - nicely thick to make things grow quicker!)

Yarn (chunky but not fancy, you can move onto fancy later!)

or I can fetch stuff with me rather than you spending money in case she doesn’t take to it just yet!
