You can trust me to be awkward can’t you…
unlike most normal people who are alergic to all cats, it appears I’m only alergic to Oriental cats. I am basing this on the fact that we have a new Fur Baby who has spent a fair proportion of today snuggled on my chest or wrapped round my feet (and oh boy does that tickle!!!) and there’s not a sign of a sore eye or itchy nose.
Actually she poses a bit of a moral dilema really. She belongs to a house further up the street but has come into our house a few times and I’ve taken her back only for the people there to say oh yeh adn put her back donw on the ground to leg it again. The other day I was talking to their nearly neighbours who said that they were feeding her most days and that she slept at their house more nights than at her own house. Aprilia piped up that she would like a cat at that point and I said I would see….
So last night the nearly neighbours came knocking on the door just as I was getting ready for bed. They had basically had enough of trying to keep the peace between their own 2 cats and a dog and the invading kitten so would we consider adopting her? Whiskers shot straight out of their arms into mine and proceeded to purr down one ear whilst I tried to hold a conversation. Duke sort of whipped her out of my arms and fussed over her whilst absently saying "yes, of course we’ll have her" There were bribes in the form of a box of GoCat and a few day’s worth of pouches (Gawd don’t they whiff!!) and a "let us know how you get on" And so we have a kitten. Obviously not theirs to give away but equally obviously not being cared for to any extent where it is supposed to be. She’s not even old enough to be outside at all, let alone left out all night. If anyone comes looking then I shall negociate with them, if they insist on taking it back then I will be poised over the RSPCA’s phone number if she’s out again.
So, here’s my new Fur Baby!

I don’t think cats ever belong to anyone. They are basically always wild, they stay as long as they want and go when they have had enough, or get a better offer.
