Quotes of the week

"mummy, you need to do more kissing in bed with daddy, I want a baby to play with like L has got"  Hmmm, if only it were that easy dearest!

Other quote of the week was this evening when she said "I haven’t done enough puzzles or tidying up this week have I?  There are gaps on my chart.  You’d better tell Jessie taht I don’t deserve that necklace yet then"  and it was so matter of fact and so grown up sounding that it made me really stop short.  She has set herself a fair selection of responsibilities (negociated with me and including tidying up, helping look after the piggies and doing her puzzles) on her chart and considering this is only the second weeks she’s been working on it I think she’s doing really well but she has decided that she has to do the lot to "earn" her reward from the learning fairy and is quite happy about that.  I may have to leave her a little something for the huge effort anyway though!

Dad called round to pick some stuff up this afternoon and got a graphic demonstration of how Aprilia just ahs poor posture (which I’m working on) rather than being as chubby as she looks - I made her stand up properly as she wanted me to show dad how tall she was on her height chart and suddenly that belly just hoiked up and out of the way as she pulled her back straight!  She does need to work on that but I’m hoping that a bit of yoga and kid’s keep fit stuff should pull her back into the right shape.  it does vaguely worry me that she is going to be really rather tall and that if we don’t get the posture right now I’m setting her up for back trouble later on.
