Time traveling
Had a lovely weekend at the MonsterTeeny birthday bash. Lots of chatting, laughing and eating. Also lots of fun had by Aprilia although, naturally, this morning she looked hung over with the day-after-the-party droop. Ho hum, she rallied after a few minutes of fresh air helping me pack the car and managed to be sociable for a few more hours.
I’m not sure I can actually make a coherent post about the event but if I ever work out how to get pics off my phone and onto the PC (it’s something to do with a bluetooth thingie that I need to plug in somewhere…) I’ll post some rather cute piccies for your delectation!
Journey down was abnormally easy, to the point of we would have been there RIDICULOUSLY early had I not stopped for us to have a meal and a leg stretch on the A23. I can’t remmeber the last time the M6 didn’t have roadworks on it - I did briefly wonder if I’d gone off course and was on a totally different road or even reality
Journy home not quite to pleasant sadyly. there was what looked to be a very bad RTA southbound on the A23 involving a biker. Had Aprilia not been with me I would have liked to go and beat a few manners into the gits peering over the pedestrian bridge to get a better look at the poor sod but at 5′ tall I’m not that handy at beating sense into neanderthals. Moving swiftly on from there… rest of the journey was undeventful but I’d never realised how far you go without seeig a service station on that journey!!! I’d planned on stopping at the same place we stopped on the way down as I would need fuel and thought that they had half decent food there too. As that was spitting distance from the RTA I figured it could well be busy (road was closed so a lot of peeps looked to be headed there to take a break instead of sitting in a hot car). It was Oxford before we got to the next stopping point. Did you know how much more economical it is to be a pain in the **** and drive at 50
