(not quite) Midnight At the Lost and Found

Filed under: Aprilia, Daft bird, Life

Today I rediscovered the living room floor.  I do this every now and then, usually under the influence of hormones but sometimes just because I feel that a living room floor would be a jolly good idea emoticon

As a result of  this rediscovery I also found the 2 pairs of trousers taht we "lost" the other week (see? told you they would turn up once I’d replaced them didn’t I!) which was a happy event as she needs clean trousers for the morning and the washing has ground to a halt this week

Having sorted that out, I lurched on to the next job on my list which was to sort out all the puzzle and Core 1 books ready for Monday morning.  Now, I know that we have Miquon Orange somewhere, no idea where just now but I suspect it’s in a dark corner of her room seeing as the rods were in there for some unknown reason and they only get used with Miqon!  So I’m declaring it lost in order to balance out the finding of the clothes, after all, there has to be balance doesn’t there :-D   Nuicance though as I’d intended it to be our main book (what with it having hung around for over 2 years now and is going to be very simple for her but I’m told it’s important to do ALL the books in order with Miquon)

I got Core 1  second hand and all the IG sheets were in seperate folders by week.  It didnt’ come with science though so I sat for a while slotting in the science sheets taht I’d ordered.  Trouble is I have no found out taht I’m missing 2 folders.  I’m pretty sure taht they must have been missing when I got it all as the whole thing has sat quietly minding it’s own business on a shelf for the last 18 months and I don’t recall having seen any lost and lonely folders wandering round the house.  Ho hum, I’m sure I can work out what to cover on those weeks, they arn’t consecutive weeks so I can see where I need to be up to by the following week, and at least I have the science bits!

Then I picked Aprilia up from Fun Club and we had lunch

There was supposed to have been a BBQ after Fun Club today but as only 2 families had said they were going, it was cancelled.  This of course meant taht I was left with a small child "deprived" of her BBQ.  Somehow I was talked into the idea that we could ahve one at home, except that we don’t hvae a BBQ any more, the last time it was used it didn’t get put away and it’s rusted through (it was cheap and going a bit rusty to start with but it got rained on whilst it was still hot and that finished it off.   It’s a bit tricky to BBQ food without a BBQ really  so I thought we would see waht was on offer at the local garden centre.  Turns out what wsa on offer was a Big Sale!  So we came home with a chimenea that has a BBQ plate in it and which Duke has been lusting after for a while.  It’s very nice…. once the paint had finished "curing" anyway - wsa a bit stinky til that point.  I can see a great future for it in winter if it’s dry and Aprilia wants to play in the back - she can run about to keep warm, I can sit by a nice wood fire adn read to her emoticon
