The Roman Mysteries just got more mysterious
So there we were, 4:30pm, BBC 1 ready for a bit of joint TV watching when the girlie said that Roman Mysteries were not on today but would be back IN THE AUTUMN????? WHAT????????
it was the final nail in the coffin of a very mixed day. To be fair, she hasn’t been naughty today, just, well, needy. you know, the sort of day when they follow you to the loo and try to sit on your knee whilst you are trying to contemplate life and empty your mooncup. Of course, the "up side" of days like this is that she did page after page after page of puzzles and has now finished Early Bird off (we keep picking it up and then leaving it for a month or so to do something different - she needs variety that child!) She read a bit, in fact to be fair she read pretty well, so I can now safely say she has a fair idea what an e on the end of a word does to the vowel. Only taken us a year
Next year’s target is "sh" and "ch" I think…. baby steps and all that
We also did some more marbling and have decided that from now on marbling is done outside as the turps gave us both headaches (which didn’t really help the general mood!)
And I finally settled on a good pattern for tent socks cor grown ups, having worked through every crochet pattern on the net I’ve gone for nice simple knitted ones as I just don’t like the way any of the crochet ones come out
So i just need to choose a good child pattern now then get an idea of what sizes people want and then it’s first come first served on teh yarn choices over on the craft blog
