distracted and dopey!
I was childless for much of today and I had every intention of making up some ground on the studying (which I am a little behind on due to a severe case of procrastination over the TMA) and also intended to get a bit of crochet done having now found several promising patterns for tent socks and fingerless gloves tht i need to test drive and having spotted multicoloured cheap and cheerful yarn to make some in!
Which is why all I managed was to print off lots of patterns, get distracted by wondering if I could make a string bag out of parcel string (I can, but it would be nicer if I could soften off the string a bit first!) and read 1 chapter of my next course book. The rest of the time I faffed about on the PC, gazed out of the window and rummaged through the yarn stash trying to decide waht to use up next in trial runs before buying some decent yarns out of the £40 I was reminded yesterday that is still in my business account (only get statements from it every 6 months or so) Oh, and I had a long nap too. For some reason every time I am child less I end up sleeping half of my day away.
All the cars down the street got broken into last night - no damage to any of them but all opened and rummaged through. Poor souls, they wasted their time in mine…. there isn’t much value in nursery rhyme tapes, tatty gloves and last week’s swimming kit which I keep forgetting to take out
but next door lost a lot of money as she keeps piles of loose change in there and they swiped her portable CD player too. Grrr
On a lighter note, the Red Cross have paid me for the last 2 months and thanks to a change in the threshold for National Insurance I didn’t get stung for that like I did last time they paid me two months in one! So guess what I’m doing in the morning….. yup, BOOOKIGN FOR CAAAAAMP!!!!!!
