Dead Lions
Note to self, don’t play dead lions on the bed when feeling even slightly tired….
Mind you, at least I didn’t nod off in the choir stalls like a certain little somebody dear to my heart very nearly did this morning!
There was a hint of vabin fever today, those lovely sunny days of last month seem to have been a cruely tantalising hint of spring designed to lure us all into feeling that the time for lazy garden days was upon us only to rain all over the washing again this week. Hmph. Aprilia and the kids next door did attempt to play out but next door mum shouted at them all for getting wet (hey, they wash don’t they???) so that was the end of that although she did carry on puddle jumping for a while on her own just for the sheer joy of being small, clad in pink Barbie wellies and not living in a house with floors that matter! She did throw the most awsome paddy though, I honestly thought she was play acting and (cough) laughed long and loud at her flailing round on the floor in fantastically over dramatic style whilst yelling "waaah, waaah" at the top of her lungs. Then I realised she was genuinely having a paddy and wandered off into the kitchen for a coffee whilst she got on with it
Once she’d calmed down she eventually let me freeze off a new veruca though (thought we had got rid of them all but I spotted a tiny little pit in her foot the other day which exploration with an emery board proved to have a veruca at the bottom) I definitely rate the freeze stuff. It is desperately expensive (£11 a can!) although Duke thinks it’s just the same as the much cheaper freeze spray he uses at work so when this can runs out….. but it really does do the trick whereas the gels etc just had no effect at all on most of them.
