the joys of technology!
The phone rang about 20 minutes ago and I was treated to the sound of background conversation and race kart engines…. Several attempts at bawling down the phone failed to attract attention but I did recognise enough voices to be fairly sure it was Duke’s phone so, being a woman of modern means, I grabed my mobile, phoned Harley (who is at Oulton today) who phoned DayDay (whose phone number I don’t have but who was at the Kart track) who told Duke to switch is **** phone off! Ain’t technology great

Using the technology to solve a problem which it caused in the first place. Hmm.
This would never have happened if we had stuck with carrier pigeons.

So glad the irony of it all wasn’t lost on you then Tim
See, this sort of thing never happens to me as my phone is always safely on the kitchen table where it belongs rather than rattling about on a belt clip where I could accidentally phone someone
