They don’t do blue tints in these!

Might just be what i need to stop me misplacing my ****** specs and they are only $30 inc prescription lenses plus $15 shipping!!!!

Oh, wait, i can get them in the UK for £££ more than it would cost to have them shipped  from the US emoticon  even allowing for paying tax etc but at least they would be to my exact prescription inc tint for about £10 less than the Vision Express ones I got the other year that were the cheapest frames going (and are about to fall apart)

a day in pictures (part 1)

Thought I’d do a non-home ed day to mark the "proper" Flickr day in pictures then do another one for the home ed day some time soon-ish!  So here we go…..

My "other home" - not very exciting but hey, it’s okay!  Still not sure about red paint in a med centre though!

Would you sleep with this man?  No, don’t blame you ;-)   JB, my overnight partner in crime, no, sorry, my duty paramedic with whom I shared the Med Centre for the night, just waiting for that first cuppa to kick start him!  We’ll gloss over the fact that he set his phone to alarm at 4:30am insread of 6:30am should we

Meanwhile back at the ranch…. we decided to do some marbling!  Take some very cheap oil paints, some turps and some paste jars.  Mix a small blob of paint with enough turps to make something that looks the consistancy of ink.

Add 1 Ikea tray with about 1cm of water in it

Use a straw as a pipette to drip your very thin oil paint onto the water

And get results like this!

In the midst of all this the violin arrived, a little battered and battlescared but with the finger positions lovingly marked on the fingerboard with stickers which should just help our cause a little!  the case is decidedly too big but nothing a wad of fabric or something won’t cure I’m sure.

There was a lot of general running round with the neighbour kids all afternoon for Aprilia whilst I messed about, did some studying and a bit of crochet.  Then it was back to my second home at 7pm for another night.   Took a while to excavate the bed before I could settle for the night though!
