Big cheer for Duke!
Duke did something VERY BRAVE yesterday and I really think he deserves a cheer. Bearing in mind that he is a total non-swimmer - he went for a few lessons about 8 years ago but didn’t carry on - yesterday he came into the swimming pool with me and Aprilia. Spent a lot of the time holding the rail just getting his legs floating but also a bit of time without clinging onto the rail wading about with Aprilia. the pool is in his depth all the way to the deep end which does wonders for confidence I suppose (obviously it’s too deep for those of us of more average size….) Aprilia gamely demonstrated exactly how to swim then anouced "see daddy? now you try" with the utter faith that only a small child can have!
Was a very pleasant afternoon all round really. AFter swimming we wombled off to a craft place, bought hand made chocs and Aprilia spend her "pcoket money" (loads of coppers she’s hoovered out of my wallet over the last few months) on sweeties which excited her no end!
Tonight I start on 3 overnighters at OP so if I’m incoherant for the rest of the weekend don’t worry!
That really is very brave. Is A going to teach him to swim then?

Incredibly brave. Marcus can swim but still won’t go to the swimming pool with Clo.
