oh no!
I’ve just gone into her room as I heard sobbing to find a very soggy bed
She’s not done that since she was very tiny and she was very obviously very upset about it all.

The other week I noticed that both her grown up teeth weren’t the shape they first were (although still looking white and shiny) and this morning was the dentist appointment to look at them. Both were fairly large cavities (that looked good round the edges where I could see but the inside was bad) that required fairly large fillings with the associated drilling etc. And of course with the drilling comes the lecture on reducing sweets (how do you reduce zero?) reducing snacking between meals (apples and carrots are good for you though aren’t they?) and careful supervision of brushing (I still brush for her). So now we are on 3 monthly visits to monitor the situation but the threat is there that those 2 may not last if they are this rotten already.
She came away a bit subdued saying that the injection to numb her hadn’t hurt a bit but the drilling had - so I guess the injection didn’t fully work then…. they don’t for me either
but she was okay. .. Until the injection wore off and she realised she had bitten her lip and her tongue really badly and needed Calpol to kill the pain sufficiently to eat her tea. At that point it all got too much for her and she got very wobbly poor kid!
However, on a better note, we spent the entire afternoon in the garden. We turned over and totally de-horsetailed 2 of our square beds ready to start planning our veggies and sat outside for puzzles. And we have it confirmed that she can be awarded certificates by the Red Cross when she can do things properly, which means she can’t have a full first aid ticket but she can hve a set of certs to say she is capable of doing x, y, and z which is just as good really.
