Helen…would something like this be okay?

I’m not 100% happy with it and I’m going to run up another after massaging the pattern some more but currently it’s just too small for Aprilia’s "newborn" doll which fits stuff for 6-7lb babies so it should be small enough to fit a 4-5lb one I would think. It’s all synthetic so fully machine washable but thick enough that unless the babe can already wee for England there should be no leaking. There is no elastic, thought it may be nicer not to have anything too springy on such delicate skin, but the leg holes should be snug without. I’ll run up some insert pads to fit inside (I’ve got some thin terry that I can make into little pad-folds to lay inside) then it’s up to you how it closes - personally I’d go with a nippa so there’s no chance of velcro rubbing but then Aprilia was prone to "buddha belly" so I’m probably more paranoid of rub than most!

That’s gorgeous T-bird!

blimey Jax, that was quick! I’ve never had a comment within so short a time of a post before!

ooh, that would be certainly be fantastic! they are first time parents so would have to see about a nippa, but they could always adda bit of velcro.
hopefully babe will grow!

oky, can put velcro on (fold back tabs naturally…) and I have some “infant” sized wraps and naps for a few months down the line when Babe is bigger - you can rummage when you visit!
