T-Bird Anni Rides Again

Half way through the day

and in need of a sit down!

So far I’ve evicted a pile of STUFF from the floor on Dukes side of the bed which was big enough to cover our double bed totally and rise up about 3′ in a mound emoticon   Most of it was discarded bathtowels (which now creates another problem… the towel cupboard is full and now I’ve found another 10!!) and clothing, no idea what was clean and what was dirty so I’ve shoved it all into his unit (baaad wifey!)

This allowed me to get the steps close enough to the units to drag everything off the tops so I could sort that out.  I looked hard at the nappies and randome baby stuff.  It got halfway out of the room for recycling then got put tidily back into bags and popped back on top of the unit (much more neatly and tidily than it was before so it was half a result emoticon)  There is a bit of stuff for freecycling and a bit of stuff that just needs flinging (electornic toys given to us years ago for Aprilia to "grow into" that never had batteries taken out etc) and there is now a humumgous amount of space up there for me to re-home stuff like the Christmas boxs and the camp stuff that doesn’t want to be in the garage.

This afternoon I am going to pull out the stuff from the shelves (put up to house all the crap we couldn’t put anywhere else) and purge them with an eye to converting the shelves into a dressing table for me.  I think I’m big enough now to want grown up things like a nice place to put my hair brush don’t you?

If I get through all that without collapsing and Aprilia is still out then the next job is to pull everything out of my unit and purge the clothes then put what i keep back in there neatly.

  1. ooh, do you have any teeny tiny nappies? bearing in mind the teeny size baby recently welcomed inot our family. they want to use cloth, but the washing service doesn’t go down that low, and muslins frighten them. would pay handsomely for a couple if you did have any for them to try out?

  2. may have some small ones, will have another rummage but I didn’t do a “newborn” size what with Aprilia being very nearly 10lb at birth!! What about a wool wrap with a pad folded muslin? I’ve got a wool soaker/wrap pattern I’m wanting an excuse to try out ;-)

  3. Sounds like good work! I was going to start spring-clening this week, but got diverted from my plan by the chickenpox …

I get teased/nagged about the floor on my side of the bed being rather higher than the floor on his side of the bed, so I was sympathising with Duke until the bathtowels bit, lol.

  4. ah yes, how goes the Pox? hope everyone is perking up now. I’m not saying *my* side of the bed is down to carpet level but yes, his side did take it to somewhat extreme levels…. In fact half of it seems to have sneaked back again :-( (but without the bath towels!!!)
