ah that’s better!
Well, it has now ceased raining for nearly 48 hours, much longer and there’ll be a hosepipe ban!!! We made the most of it by wrapping up warm and getting out of the house. Aprilia decided that roller skates were the footwear of choice so I dictated taht stout gloves were also worn just in case (and thick tights to protect little knees!) Actually she did very well and didn’t fall over at all 
Most of the rest of the day was spent playing in the garden which entailed digging out a well and truely mature compost heap in order to find the worms (and give them a wash - aparently they lookd dirty…) then lovingly placing them into the current compost bin to be sure they had enough food to last the winter. So I now have a compost bin full of probably the most pissed off (but well provided for) worms in the area 
The fresh air seems to have loosened the grip the cold has got on me thank goodness, could just do with a good week’s worth of this weather to get rid of it properly adn have me fighting fit in time for Melrose!
