under the fence, catch the sheep…
Aprilia is having another go at knitting. She’s been knitting the same scarf for over a year now and it’s got the grand total of 10 rows, mainly done by me or by her sat on my knee with me holding her hands. She’s too big to sit on my knee now (I can’t see past her!!!) so she’s attempting to "fly solo" with it. It is NOT going well 
although she can now manage the under the fence and catch the sheep bit, she get the back you come most of the time but off you leap is just too traumatic for words!!!
All this of course would be fine, we could say "never mind, you are still young" (I didn’t learn until I was 10 and picked it up pretty fast at that point) but ******* MIL is a bit prone to pointing out that by the age of 4 she was knitting dolly clothes and by Aprilia’s age was making her own jumpers.
