T-Bird Anni Rides Again

January 8, 2007

and finally…. the day!

Today I declared it "back to school" and I have to say she’s so much nicer to live with when she’s got a bit of a familiar routine wrapped round her!  She has puzzled (some lovely handwriting, a bit of MEP and some c-rods games) she has sat perfectly queitly (but not perfectly still - miracles we do at once, the impossible takes a while longer and all that!) for stories and she helped me tidy up the living room.  Then she played on teh PC for a bit - we put her PC over to Edubuntu at teh weekend and it has some useful games on it which kept her occupied for an hour or so although she’s pining for some Disney trash that no longer works (but it will once I’ve worked out how…)  Meanwhile i got on with a bit of studying - 400 words of the 750 I need now written and once I’ve put some grammar round the answers I think I’ll be there!

The afternoon found her busy with some form or other of crafts until Daddy came home whilst I knitted on the sofa.  Teh front of her ganzi in now finished, just the back and sleeves to do….. I WILL have it finished for Melrose….. although of course, I need a project to keep my hands busy whilst I’m there now don’t I!

and another smile, should you need one…

Secret of a happy marriage?

>> A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years.  They had
>> shared everything.  They had talked about everything.  They had
>> kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a
>> shoe-box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband
>> never
>> to open or ask her about.  For all of these years, he had never
>> thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and
>> the doctor said she would not recover.  In trying to sort out their
>> affairs, the little old man took down the shoe-box and took it to
>> his wife’s bedside.
>> She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the
>> box.
>> When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of
>> money totaling $95,000.  He asked her about the contents.  "When we were
>> to be married," she said, "my grandmother told me the secret of a
>> happy marriage was to never argue.  She told me that if I ever got angry
>> with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll."
>>  The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears.  Only
>> two precious dolls were in the box.  She had only been angry with him
>> two times in all those years of living and loving.  He almost burst
>> with happiness.  "Honey," he said, "that explains the doll, but what
>> about all of this money?  Where did it come from?"
>> "Oh," she said, "That’s the money I made from selling the dolls."

>> A Prayer
>>  Dear Lord,
>> I pray for Wisdom to understand my man; Love to forgive him; And
>> Patience for his moods; Because Lord, if I pray for strength, I’ll

THE RULES

Each player of this game starts with the ’six weird things about you’ blog post. People who get tagged need to write their own six weird things post and state the rules clearly. At the end of the post tag six more people and don’t forget to leave a comment on their blog to tell them they have been tagged and tell them to read your blog.

1 - I’m married - on this estate that makes me WIERD!

2 - I enjoy Aprilia’s company - (see above)

3 - I go to church adn enjoy it (most of the time!)

4 - I consider standing at the side of a race track in all weathers waiting for some eejit to crash so I can "leap" into action to be fun

5 - When I forget to put my glasses on stuff on paper does this really cool dance then dives down a hole in the middle of the page, it’s entertaining but not useful if you are supposed to be reading it not watching it

6 -  If I could still have a few mod cons (PC, dish washer, fornt loading wshing machine etc) I could actually enjoy being a Prairie Muffin for the summer as long as I could come home to a nice centrally heated house for winter ;-)

And I don’t care if you’ve already been tagged….
