cooo….

I’ve installed Linux on my PC and you know what?  it’s not even remotely scarey!  In fact the games are better, it noticed the printer/scanner adn installed it for me without me needing to tell it where the driver was (it just wandered off and found it for me!)  it noticed the camera when I docked it and downloaded the pics without the slightest hint of fuss and the photo manager thingie is faster and better than what I had in XP.  Only thing I’ve not worked out yet is how to sync my PDA although aparently it’s possible with a bit of coaxing.

Feels sort of odd to have a totally "pirate copy software" free PC….

Next job is to see how many of Aprilia’s games will run via Linux adn migrate her over to Edubuntu - Linux for small people!!!

  3. I liked Linux a lot, and would have stuck with it if it hadn’t been for a couple of pieces of software that I use that I really don’t want to leave behind. I had a double-boot system, but couldn’t be bothered to reboot constantly. It was only when we came to remove Linux that I ran into problems, but I think that was just fluke. Anyway, LOL at the pirate software comment :-D
